Allyship Shouldn't Burn You Out. But in 2025? It Might.
Burnout is both personal and systemic.
It shows up in our inboxes, our bodies, and our sense of hope. And for those of us advocating for underrepresented communities—whether that means showing up for others or for ourselves—2025 has been a hell of a year.
If you’ve felt like every week brings a fresh wave of harmful headlines or inequitable policies, you’re not imagining it. If you’ve wondered whether your allyship is making a difference—or if it’s just making you tired—you’re not alone.
Because allyship burnout is real.
You can’t unsee injustice once you've seen it. You can’t unknow what you’ve learned about harmful systems. And while backing away might seem tempting, for many, it’s not an option. It’s personal. It’s part of who you are.
But we were never meant to do this work in a constant state of depletion.
That’s why I’m offering a new workshop this June:
Preventing Allyship Burnout in 2025.
It’s built for people who care deeply—HR directors, event organizers, people leaders—and are tired of pretending they’re fine. It’s an evolution of my foundational burnout prevention work, designed specifically for this moment.
Here’s what we’ll do:
Radically name what you’re carrying – We can’t prevent burnout if we don’t understand how it’s showing up. Especially when allyship is part of the equation.
Learn the neuroscience of powerful presence – This isn’t just mindfulness. It’s a practical way to decrease anxiety and increase your ability to lead from your values.
Practice joy as a strategy – Joy isn’t just a nice idea. It’s a core part of sustainable advocacy. We’ll show you how to stalk your serotonin like it’s your job.
This workshop is not about doing less.
It’s about doing it differently—so you can keep showing up, without burning out.
Let’s build leadership pipelines that last.
Let’s make sure our allyship can too.
