How to show up for your people on a day like today

Support for U.S. leaders in 2026

My leaders in the US are wondering, after all that has happened in the first 8 days of 2026, how can I support my people but without bringing up politics at work?

That’s exactly why I made this video. In it, I share one of the best things you can do generally for your team, along with a few examples of what that could look like. In summary,

The goal: facilitate a way for your people to reconnect with the core of who they are, underneath all the emotions, opinions, fear, etc. Regardless of their perspective, they won’t be able to think clearly, solve problems, communicate effectively, if they are swirling and disconnected from their intuition. What makes them THEM.

In action:

  1. Breathe together. Here you’ll find the same somatic breathing exercise that’s included in the Burnout Prevention Starter Kit. It’s not too woo-woo, it’s less than 3 minutes long, and everyone feels better after doing it. Everyone.

  2. Before connecting on a call or in a meeting, share this list of core values. It comes from our discovery course, Three Words Away. Ask them to pick a value that’s really resonating with them today and share what it means to them specifically. As always, inclusive and sustainable leaders break the vulnerability barrier first. So you go first.

  3. If they, or YOU, need a little more than that, I invite you to connect the core value to how you’re feeling and answer the question, “What does that say about who you are?” This is a direct line to recenter and tap into the power that is our intuition - the core of who you are.

Lastly, if a 1:1 would be helpful, I invite you to sign up for Joyful Office Hours. These are complimentary 15-minute Zoom calls to support your sustainable, inclusive, and impactful leadership. Especially during these times.

I’m here for you, my leaders. So you can be here for your people. Be good to yourselves. I appreciate you.
